Tablescape Thursday ~ August 20, 2009

It's so nice to see you today as we celebrate Tablescape Thursday. Please click the logo above to see all of this weeks amazing participants. We're having a Veggie Dinner al fresco ~ we love to dine outdoors as often as possible, weather permitting.

I've set the little pale green bistro table for us in a casual way, please make yourself comfortable. :)


I was inspired to choose this theme from these square vegetable plates; each have a slightly different pattern ~ here is an example:

One of the dinner plates ~ all have the same borders of radish, but the centers vary.

And here are two of the salad plates ~




I found these dish towels at the dollar store and thought they would go nicely with our Vegetable table. :)



The bistro table is quite small, so I set the "center piece" off to the side.

I used the vintage French egg holder, placed vine tomatoes, and garlic heads in the cups. For the top, I cut herbs; basil and thyme along with some lavender from the garden and placed them in water, using a small green juice glass as a vase. Really no cost at all, and all of the elements will be used later. :)
