Tablescape Thursday ~ July 2, 2009

Congratulations to SUSAN our lovely host of Tablescape Thursday!
July 2nd is the 45th Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan on her marvelous blog
Between Naps on the Porch.

Please click either the Tablescape Thursday logo, or the link above to see who is participating this week.

I chose to do a Fourth of July breakfast table theme for this Tablescape Thursday.

It is BLUEBERRY BLISS time at my house!

There is a large Blueberry farm right near home on the other side of the river, which we pass each time we go to town. It is with great anticipation we wait for this time of year when these gorgeous and FRESH blueberries are available by the flat.

Today was our first buy, but we'll be back for more before the season ends at the close of July. I'm working on a healthier version of a whole-wheat-crust tart shell filled with fresh blueberries. :)

I really don't serve this large of a serving at once ~ ; )

The chargers were brown, I spray painted them white some time ago. The white liner plate is from my old every-day dish set. I bought the shallow blue soup plates several years ago, and the striped blue bowls are glazed earthen-ware from Italy.

The flatware are French imports from the French company Comptoir de Famille.

The cups are from Harry & David, the napkins are actually dishcloths from Williams-Sonoma, tablecloth from April Cornell.

I bought the US flags some years ago from the old Martha Stewart by Mail.

Gosh, I miss her old store!

I hope all of you who celebrate the Fourth of July have a very happy one!

Have a Healthy and Delicious day!!

  27. I came back by to mention that I am hosting a Christmas in July Tablescape Party at my Playing Dishes blog. There will be one held each Saturday this month. Please come and participate or at least visit. A holiday tablecloth will be given away on the last Saturday, July 25. Info on signups is available by clicking my sidebar memes available on both my blogs.

I am also having a weekly Christmas giveaway at my Christmas Memories in My Heart blog. Weekly entries are closed out a midnight on Wednesday for this.

Hopefully some of you tablescape regulars will pull together a tablescape for CIJ or pull out some photos from last year to post.

    Happy CIJ!
