Of all the Blueberry Muffin recipes I have tried this is my all-time favorite.
Be ready for lots of compliments if you make them. They always receive rave reviews when I make them, and they don't last long~ everybody loves these muffins.
You can use fresh or frozen berries (don't thaw); this time I used fresh, and if they are available that is what I prefer.
The only change I made this time was to bake the muffins in individual crumb cake pans. Similar to muffin top baking pans they are a bit deeper and wider. There are also paper crumbcake pans like THESE.
Of course you can use any size muffin pans you like ~ but do try them, they are seriously good.
And... If you would like a chance at winning this Willow Blue Teaset,
I wish I had kept my muffin top pan..Now I am the only muffin top:)They look yummy Mary~
ReplyDeleteThey look so yummy, I have used all the blueberries in the freezer so I will have to save this until they come in again.
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful muffins. If they go quickly, you know you've got a winner!! When blueberries are in I will give them a try.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those look splendid! I am looking for a winner blueberry muffin recipe! I may just have to make this! I'll be sure to post about it and do a link to your blog if you don't mind. :o) Have a peaceful New Years!

These look delicious, I will try these for New Years Day. Your creamed spinach looks pretty appealing to me too, especially with the addition of P cheese and in those pretty gratin dishes, Happy New Year, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteOh Mari! These sound sooooo yummy. I'm bookmarking them right now!!
ReplyDeleteWell, the gorgeous photos makes me want to make up a batch in a hurry!

I love blueberry muffins. I have my favorite recipe that my Mom always used to make, but next time I make them I'll top them with the streusel! Happy New Year, Mari... I can't wait to hear what the 'special announcement' is!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - and I love that they have a streusel topping.
ReplyDeleteOoh, more muffin top and less muffin. These look great!
ReplyDeleteThese look delish!

Nothing like muffins to make you feel warm and welcomed...I must get myself a muffin to pan too!:) happy new year!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comments.
ReplyDeleteI think it's because I'm an extra-layer-of-flavor kind of person that makes me favor these moist, streusel topped muffins.
The muffin body is not too sweet but the streusel topping adds the texture and sweetness that elevates these to KEEPER status.
Again, thank you so much for taking the time to comment! :)
Yummy yummy muffins.....
ReplyDeleteMari, these are beautiful! Now that I see them in the muffin top pan, I think I need that pan; perfect for these struesel muffins. Bluberry muffins are a fav.
ReplyDeleteMari, nothing like a warm muffin filled with blueberries and a sweet strussel topping. Every recipe from "The Taste of Home" is amazing ~ thanks for posting this great recipe.
ReplyDeleteOOH They would be perfect for breakfast on New Years day too. I love that you baked them in the crumb cake pans instead of muffin cups.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best in the New Year Mary.
I love blueberry muffins and can't wait to give these a try. I wish I could lick the computer screen!!
ReplyDeleteDelicious-looking!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

I just made what I thought were the best blueberry muffins ever (browned butter blueberry muffins on my blog). Now I need to try this recipe to compare! I think blueberry muffins might be my husband's favorite food ever though, so he won't complain too much :)
ReplyDeleteThey sure look awesome, Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeleteI love muffins with steusel toppings!
