Tablescape ~ Dinner in the Garden!

I'm wondering if you can imagine my GLEE at the prospect of taking our first dinner of the year out in the French garden
today?

Tomorrow we're due for more sprinkles, but today was in the 70's so I grabbed the opportunity to set this spur-of-the-moment table and enjoy the weather.

Nothing fancy ~ I kept everything simple.

The little black metal bistro table works out perfectly for two~
Most of the early daffodils have passed, but the tulips are just coming into bloom so I snipped a couple for the table so we could enjoy them up close.

A most treasured gift from a dear friend.
My heart skips a beat everytime I look at it.

The tablecloth is by April Cornell, napkins by Ralph Lauren.
Bubble wine glasses; Target, flatware Amazon, Woven chargers;
Big Lots (some time ago), Portuguese cabbage plates by Bordallo Pinheiro; TJ Maxx.
Napkin rings;
Sur la Table.

Bottle ~ old apothecary collectible.

I'm sending a huge bouquet of thanks to our dear host of
Tablescape Thursdays, Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Please click the logo above to visit Susan's blog and see all of this weeks participants.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

  25. Mary - Such a beautiful table you set and what a perfect setting in the garden. We have been eating outside as well but with Sara climbing on everything now I have no time to take pics. We have been in the 80's for a few days now and it's so pleasant to eat out - I think it makes the food even taste better ;-)

  35. Hi Mari,

    Your table is so lovely - garden dining is one of my very favorite ways to enjoy any meal. Your tulips and crocuses look absolutely perfect and our woven jacquard cloth gives just the right weight for an early spring day. I just know you'll love our jacquards this season. One of my favorites is the Papillon Jade - looks great with an embroidered cotton cloth over top:
