That's a close-up of the seed pods of a shrub (the pods are only about 2 to 3-inches tall). The purple-ish flowers are insignificant, but the bees love them. I'm not sure what the name of the plant is, but I'll try to find out. I bought it in a "Butterfly & Hummingbird" garden mix, it was not labeled. :(
Mary..what is this? Agave? Aloe? Something entirely different? the light's just right:)Or the begiining of a new bloom?
